List of missing airplane till century 21st


Here is a list of notable missing airplanes up to the end of the 21st century:

1. Amelia Earhart's Disappearance:

On July 2, 1937, pioneering aviator Amelia Earhart set off to circumnavigate the globe in her Lockheed Electra 10E. Unfortunately, neither she nor her navigator, Fred Noonan, were ever found.

2. Flight 19:

December 5, 1945, marks the vanishing of five TBM Justice fighter torpedo planes during a standard preparation departure from Stronghold Lauderdale, Florida. The aircraft and their 14 crew members vanished in what we now call the Bermuda Triangle.

3. Star Tiger and Star Ariel:

In January 1948 and 1949, respectively, two British South American Airways passenger planes disappeared while en route from England to Bermuda. Sadly, neither the planes nor their occupants were ever found.

4. Flying Tiger Line Flight 739:

March 16, 1962, saw the disappearance of a Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation aircraft carrying 96 passengers and 11 crew members.

The plane vanished over the western Pacific Ocean during its flight from Guam to the Philippines.

5. Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370:

On March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 disappeared while traveling from Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia, to Beijing Capital International Airport, China, with 239 people on board.

Despite research efforts, the wreckage was never found..

6. Air France Flight 447:

June 1, 2009, witnessed the disappearance of an Airbus A330-200 flying from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to Paris, France, with 228 people on board.

The aircraft crashed into the Atlantic Ocean, and it took about two years to locate the wreckage.

These cases stand out among the many incidents in aviation history due to their circumstances and the enduring mystery surrounding them.
